Starting September 30, VHDG will welcome the collective Fabulous Future, which will be staying in our residency space this autumn. After a work period of several weeks, their newly developed work will be presented on November 22 at Kunstruimte H47.
Fabulous Future draws inspiration from the concept of the ‘group photo’ for their residency period. They aim to explore this concept in conjunction with the Frisian landscape and its history, while simultaneously adding new stories and fantasies. The starting point for the presentation takes place in the year 2118: 100 years after Leeuwarden was designated as the European Capital of Culture, and thus also 100 years after the establishment of the collective.
Fabulous Future is a collective and an ongoing project; binding together research, development and the construction of spaces, events and situations.
The end of the residency period will conclude with a presentation of their work at Kunstruimte H47.
